QualBoard 3.0™

In 2001, 20|20 Research launched the very first version of QualBoard™ and since that time, it has been home to thousands of successful online projects. Our experience and expertise grew over time, as did our reputation in the industry.

Our position as industry leader was further cemented in 2009 with the launch of QualBoard™ 3.0, a new generation of online bulletin board platforms for qualitative research. And since its launch, numerous enhancements have been added, keeping QualBoard the most complete, easiest-to-use platform in the industries.

QualBoard™ takes advantage of threaded 'Bulletin Board' technology. QualBoard™ participants log in at times and from locations that are convenient to them, answering questions posted by a moderator while reading and responding to the other participants' comments. All of the discussion is visible onscreen to the client observers in a "virtual backroom".

A QualBoard™ typically takes place over a 3-7 day period - with respondents participating 2-3 times each day. Because of the longer timeframe and the come-and-go nature of the discussion, most QualBoard™ discussions have 10-30 participants, rather than 8-10 common in in-person or real-time online groups.

Projects take on a whole new level of interactivity with QualBoard™ 3.0. With the ability to embed video and other multimedia with the click of a button, QualBoard™ allows you to tap into the rich world of user-generated content and self-ethnographic activities. Projects can include a vast array of multimedia stimuli that keep participants engaged throughout the study.

Analysis in QualBoard™ 3.0 allows a researcher to organize, understand and categorize their research quickly and easily. From instantly searchable and downloadable transcripts to a full media gallery, QualBoard 3.0 gives researchers the tools and features they need to be more productive and provide a deeper analysis.

2010 Enhancements to QualBoard

QualLink™ (patent-pending) is a ground-breaking technology that allows researchers to conduct in-depth qualitative research on selected quantitative survey participants by automatically linking together online survey software and QualBoard™, eliminating the clunky, manual and time-consuming process traditionally required in the quant-to-qual design. At the conclusion of a survey, selected participants (based on their survey responses) are asked to "opt in" to a QualBoard session. When they accept, QualLink™ automatically loads them (and their survey data) into QualBoard™. Immediately, the participants can log-in to QualBoard™ to begin the qualitative portion of the study

QuickView™ allows researchers - who use QualBoard™ - to view, respond to and manage all participant posts from one screen. Historically, bulletin board users have had to jump from screen-to-screen-to-screen searching for the latest and newest comments. With QuickView™ inside of QualBoard™, researchers can now respond to all participant posts - in the order in which they were posted and regardless of when they were submitted.

Easy Admin™ allows experienced QualBoard users to quickly and easily set-up their own projects. This gets projects off the ground faster and also allows users to setup "demo boards" any time they want to show QualBoard to their clients. Our project management team is always ready and willing to help you get a project started, but for those experienced clients who like to manage the process themselves, Easy Admin™ takes care of that.

With Forever Files™, any client can access their archived project files and transcripts virtually forever. We've invested in massive storage arrays to archive our clients' files. Even the large, video-heavy files will be available for as long as our clients deem necessary. Archived files get deleted only when you choose to delete them.
