20|20 Research, Inc., a global provider of qualitative research fieldwork services and software, was founded in 1986 by former QRCA President Jim Bryson; since then, the organization has experienced growth, change and significant success… thanks to you.

2011

  • Launched QualLaborate™ V2.0, a revolutionary Concept Testing and Image Mark-up tool for use inside of QualBoard.
  • Published our second eBook, The Essential Guide to Mobile Qualitative Research: Tips & techniques for using mobile devices for on-the-go qualitative research.
  • Launched QualBoard+Plus, a bundled package that allows researchers to focus on the research and analysis, while 20|20 takes care of all the project details.
  • Launched QuickQual™ and QuickQual Turbo™, bundled solutions that provide “Assisted Qualitative” and deliver project turnaround of 14 and 7 days, respectively.
  • Released our first E-book about online qual entitled How to Save Time and Money on Your Qualitative Research Projects: Using Online Research Software for 5 Popular Methodologies.
  • Launched QualAnywhere V1.5 - for mobile qual research – that enables participants to upload images, along with their text messages.
  • All 20|20 focus group facilities were “Top Rated” by Impulse Research again – Nashville for 17 consecutive years, Charlotte for 13 years and Miami for 4 years.
  • Added webcam technology to QualBoard™, giving researchers the ability to see and hear participant responses.

2010

  • 20|20 had it’s best year in the history of the company with a 20% increase in revenue over the previous record year; much of this was due to a significant increase in our international business.
  • Launched a new website with continually updated content in the Resources section and on QualBlog.
  • Launched QuickView™, a new feature inside of QualBoard™ that dramatically increases the ease and efficiency by which Bulletin Board projects are moderated.
  • Launched QualJournal™ V1.5, adding several new features to this industry-leading online diary platform.
  • Launched QualLink™, a seamlessly integrated quant-to-qual hybrid platform.

2009

  • Launched QualJournal™, designed for online journaling and immersive research
  • Launched QualAnywhere™, utilizing cell phones and text messaging for mobile research
  • Launched QualLab™, for live, in-person usability studies, conducted in our facilities
  • Webinar program explodes; average 300+ participants each month
  • Began offering mp3/mp4 digital recordings and comprehensive transcription services in all facilities
  • 20|20 named to the Future 50 (for the third time in our history), recognizing us as one of the 50 fastest growing companies in middle Tennessee.

2008

  • Launched QualMeeting™, an online platform that allows clients to take advantage of webcams and video streaming for live, online interviewing.
  • Began offering an on-going series of webinars about online qualitative research; average about 100 attendees each month.
  • All three facilities earned “Top Rated” status from Impulse Research
  • Passed 100 employees on the payroll for the first time

2007

  • The Nashville Focus Group facility relocates just down the street from the old location and expands into a brand new 3-room facility.
  • 20|20 named to the Hot 100, recognizing us as one of the 100 fastest growing companies in the state of Tennessee.

2006

  • Opened a state-of-the-art 4-room Focus Group facility (with bi-lingual staff) in the Doral area of Miami, FL.
  • The Charlotte facility expands to become a 4-room facility and adds “Take Five”, a client-only room to relax and unwind.

2005

  • For the 5th straight year, both the Nashville and Charlotte facilities earned the prestigious “Top Rated” ranking from Impulse Research, recognizing them as two of the best Focus Group facilities anywhere in the US.

2001

  • Started an Online Division for conducting qualitative research on the internet; this included developing Qualboard™, the industry-leading discussion board software and establishing our nationwide recruiting capabilities.

1999

  • Expanded into Charlotte, NC and opened a 3-room Focus Group facility

1996

  • Divested research capabilities to concentrate on the Focus Group business; relocated and opened a 2-room Focus Group facility in Nashville.

1986

  • Started as a full-service marketing research firm with one Focus Group room attached.
